How to Book Your Mini Session

Mini sessions are a fun and quick way to get updated photos of your family!  If you've never done a mini session before, please note that they are only 20 minutes long and are typically very fast paced.  If you have a child or special situation that would require time to warm up to new places and people, I generally do not recommend a mini session.  Full sessions are available for booking if you feel you need an entire hour.  Clients arrive at the studio dressed and ready for their session and we try to begin immediately upon arrival.  Below are detailed instructions on how to book a mini session:


Booking a mini session is easy! On this page (and also on my website home page), you'll see an orange icon (the mobile site has just a circle with a calendar icon in the center, while the desktop site has an oval with 'book a session' in the center):


After clicking the orange icon, you'll be able to click on the minis currently being offered.  You can select which weekend you would like to view available times. 



After selecting the dates you'd like to view times for, you'll read a brief description of what's included in the session and you will also have to click a box acknowledging that you are paying a $20 non-refundable deposit.  Rescheduling is limited to availability, as all mini sessions have specific dates and cannot be rescheduled once all of the slots are filled.  After clicking that box, press continue. 



On the next page you will be asked to select your date and time.  Please note that the date you are browsing times for will be in red at the top of the calendar.  All available times for that red highlighted date are shown. 



If you wish to view both dates on the weekend you selected, please make sure to press the arrow located at the right end of the calendar.  Doing so will move the red highlighted date from Saturday to Sunday, or vice versa if you are on Sunday and press the arrow located at the left end of the calendar(circled in red in the photo below).  Please make sure that the date highlighted in red is the date you would like to select a time from.  If the date is shown in light gray, there are no openings on that date.  Once you have selected your time on your preferred date, press continue. 


You will be given the studio address, which you do not have to note at this time.  I always reach out to clients via the email that they have provided to confirm their session and also send all of the information that you'll need for the session.  Press continue.



On the next page you will be able to insert any details or notes that you would like to add.  You can add things like 'session is for a 4 month infant only' or 'session for a family of four' or you can simply leave it blank if you prefer. 







You will be asked to enter your contact information.  Please make sure your email is correct, as that is how I will contact you to confirm your session and also send information.  Your email is also how your online gallery will be delivered.  If for some reason you are unaware of your email settings, it's possible the email will go into your spam folder.  If you prefer another method of communication, please let me know.  Please note that I will never contact you by phone.  You will also be asked to enter the card information you would like to use for the deposit. 




Once you press the pay button, I will get an email to confirm the session, and your card will not be charged until I approve the session(I always approve sessions unless there happens to be a technology glitch where two clients try to book the same spot at the same time, which is rarely).  The balance of your session isn't due until the time of your session, and I will reach out about a week before your appointment to confirm your appointment and also send session details and important items to bring to your session. I will typically email you and ask for a confirmation just to make sure my emails aren't going into your spam folder.
